2021 MINNESOTA NGWSD EVENT PLANS

Announcement: The annual February celebration of National Girls and Women in Sport Day (NGWSD) in Minnesota will take on a new look for 2021.
The traditional event, usually held at the MN History Center, is being canceled due to public health concerns regarding COVID-19 and guidance against large gatherings to reduce the risk of community transmission.
Therefore, we will not be seeking nominations this year 2020 (for a 2021 event).
This difficult decision was made by the Minnesota Coalition of Women in Athletic Leadership (MCWAL), the organization that coordinates this event. Plans are being developed in the coming months to celebrate and recognize our MN-NGWSD history and future in a new way.
Look for updates on our website (here) and Facebook page as we take the opportunity to adjust this important celebration in February 2021.
